About Avin
Avin started working in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in 2009, he now sees over 100 patients a week across his clinics in Oakham, Thurmaston, Uppingham and Wigston.
Avin also provides emergency evening and weekend appointments for patients that cannot wait until the next working day.
The majority of his patients are self referral through word of mouth, and referral from local medical practitioners.
Whilst training at University Avin participated in three special study modules in the fields of:
Osteopathic Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation
Advanced Nutrition
Cranial Osteopathy
Prior to studying osteopathy he was a professional rugby player. Avin has a particular interest in sports medicine, sport injuries and sports rehabilitation. He has currently been working with top sporting internationals in the field of rugby, football, cricket, golf and motor sports.
He has trained with the British Medical Acupuncture Society, and had built a very successful acupuncture clinic.
Avin treats most of his patients with a combination of Medical Acupuncture, (unless needle phobic!) Osteopathy as well as drawing on his specialist training in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation.
Over the past 6 years since his daughter was born he started treating babies using Cranial Osteopathy.
Avin is the leading Cranial Osteopathy across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. On average now seeing over 30 new born babies a week. His youngest being a 2 day old.
From parents bringing babies in for a routine cranial assessment, to complications from birth and birth trauma related symptoms.
Having over 15 years of clinical experience he has a very simple and traditional approach whilst treating his patients “Find it, Fix it, Leave it”.
Prevention of problems whilst addressing existing complaints is the key to his treatment plan.
